FAQs - Restylane
What Should I Expect?
We begin with a careful consultation to determine the areas
of concern and to evaluate your skin. Some discomfort can
be expected with filler injections, and depending on the
site, our trained medical staff may use topical anesthesia
or dental blocks (injectable anesthesia) to make the treatment
more comfortable. Finally, the gel is injected into the
area using extremely fine needles.
With hyaluronic fillers, mild to moderate redness and swelling
can occur and last for several days. In the lips, swelling
may last up to 7 days. In addition, you may experience some
temporary bruising at the injection sites.
How is a Filler like Restylane™ Different
from Botox?
Restylane™ and other fillers plump up lines and restore
volume (mostly in the lower face), whereas Botox relaxes
muscles that cause wrinkles (mostly in the upper face). |
